The Southern Poverty Law Center has integrated far-left content and materials into classrooms as early as kindergarten across one hundred sixty-nine school districts in forty-two states, according to an education watchdog exposé released as the liberal activist organization faces federal fraud charges.
Nicole Neily, president of Defending Education—once labeled an extremist group by SPLC—told Fox News Digital that unbeknownst to parents, the Southern Poverty Law Center has been poisoning pupils' minds around the country for years with its toxic curriculum. The exposé details how an SPLC program called Learning for Justice has been integrated into K-12 lesson plans reinforcing far-left cultural and political ideologies.
"Issues such as queer theory, white privilege, and anti-racism have supplanted traditional coursework in history, social studies, and other core classes, teaching children to view themselves and others through the lens of identity politics."
According to Neily, the program reinforces anti-racism, Black Lives Matter, gender ideology and queer theory, white privilege, white supremacy, whiteness, and transgenderism starting in kindergarten. The materials intentionally sow division and mistrust between students at a formative stage of their development, she said, adding that it is deeply disappointing that administrators believe this is appropriate use of finite classroom time and resources.
The report reveals that SPLC's website and documents can be found on school district webpages, in teacher professional development and trainings, classroom lessons, district-wide curricula, Social Emotional Learning, social justice standards, and district antiracism and equity policies. The Learning for Justice program, focused on education for liberation, encourages students to commit to joining with diverse people to plan and carry out collective action against exclusion, prejudice and discrimination.
The Southern Poverty Law Center currently faces federal fraud charges over an alleged covert paid informant program worth three million dollars. Despite these serious legal issues, the organization continues operating education programs that have infiltrated school districts nationwide, teaching progressive ideology to children as young as five years old.
The SPLC curriculum infiltration demonstrates how progressive organizations exploit parental trust to indoctrinate children with divisive identity politics starting in kindergarten. Teaching five-year-olds about white privilege, queer theory, and organizing collective action represents ideological grooming rather than education. Parents must demand transparency about classroom materials and reject curricula from organizations like SPLC that face federal fraud charges while poisoning young minds with toxic ideology teaching children to view classmates through racial and gender lenses rather than as individuals deserving equal treatment.
